Terms & Conditions
In these Terms and Conditions we, our, or us refers to Culturescene Ltd.
1. Your Holiday Booking
When making a booking with us you guarantee to accept the terms of the booking conditions on behalf of yourself and any other members of your party. A contract exists between yourself and Culturescene after we have received the deposit and we issue a confirmation receipt to you by e-mail. If making a booking by telephone we will also send the confirmation receipt by e-mail unless you otherwise instruct us to send the documents by post.
2. Payment
We accept payment by cash, cheque (provided there is sufficient time for the funds to clear) credit card and debit card. All payments made by cheque should be made payable to ‘TTA Trustees (UK) Ltd T/trees of clients monies of Culturescene Ltd. For any events including accommodation we can reserve a place with a 20% deposit if booked 8 weeks or more before the event. If booking within 8 weeks of an event the total amount must be paid in full.
3. Booking Amendments
For any amendments of an existing booking please contact us at info@desire2go.com or contact us in the first instance on 0800 0787584. While we cannot guarantee to change a booking we will do our utmost to transfer you to the desired booking. For any booking amendments there will be an administration charge of £10.00 plus any additional costs to cover any booking alterations.
4. Booking Cancellations
Accommodation
If cancelling an accommodation booking this must be forwarded to us either verbally, in writing or by e-mail, not later than 72 hours prior to the departure date. For any cancellations a £20.00 cancellation fee is chargeable. If cancelling a booking within 72 hours of the departure date then the amount paid will become non refundable.
Organised Tours
If wishing to cancel an event this request must be forwarded to us in writing or by e-mail. Please see the information below for the cancellation costs prior to a booking;
More than 56 days prior to event - loss of deposit
43 - 55 days 30% of event cost
29 - 42 days 50% of event cost
15 - 28 days 80% of event cost
1 - 14 days 100% of event cost
5. Cancellations by Culturescene
In the event of exceptional circumstances Culturescene reserves the right to cancel a booking. Under no circumstances will we cancel an event within 8 weeks prior to the event itself, unless in extreme cases or force majeure. In the unlikely event of a cancellation by Culturescene we will offer the client an alternative event including a refund of any difference if applicable. Culturescene will not pay any other form of compensation.
6. Inappropriate Behaviour
In the event of any individual considered to be causing distress, offence or harassment to others we reserve the right to terminate them from the event. In this case our responsibility to the individual or party concerned will no longer be in effect and we will take no responsibility for any expenses incurred, claims or compensation. In the event of such an incident charges may also be made against the individual or party concerned. We reserve the right to exclude any such party from future events.
7. Acceptance of Terms
You agree to be fully responsible for any claim, expense, liability, losses, costs including legal fees incurred by us arising from any infringement of the terms and conditions set out in this agreement.
